[Don't Preach]

In this life, you win some, and you lose some. Sometimes, if you're lucky, you get to choose what to gain and what to let go of.

When it comes down to that, it's all about the opportunity cost.

Then again, most decisions have to be made faster than you can actually think them through. And at times, even if you do get to think them through, you choose to follow your instincts instead.

At the end of it all, you turn back, and ask yourself and those around you if it was worth it, if it was the correct decision to make.

What if they all said yes?

[Top of the World]

Physics is over!

Had a nice dunch, linner, tea thing with Shanti, Joey and Yanshan at Swensen's today. :D I love student deals! Hee. (Randomly, I really like Vitagen.) Had the Mega Burger, which was totally worth it, except that I think it should come with the vegetables closer to the top than the bottom because being hidden underneath makes them all warm, wet and soggy. The beef patty was awesome. Joey (and I) really liked it. :D

Parted ways after that since Shanti needed to go home early. So I went to Lot 1 with her, and walked around the place. The entire area has 4 cutesy stores. Gift-a-name, Minitoons, Action City and something else. Cutesy items are so adorable and attractive, but so useless. ):

So anyway, I think Shanti's very gullible. Heh. XD This happened after we shocked each other for the fifth time or so.

Me: Do you know why we keep having static? It's because you keep breathing!
Shanti: Really? Lemme try. *stops breathing* *tries to create shock* *gets really excited* Eh really leh! Why arh? Why arh?

Such a child. XD

Time for One Tree Hill!

[Kryptonite]

If and when I fail my Physics Promotional Paper, at least I'll know that I've tried my best.

If six days out of nine in the holidays aren't enough, even with homework coming in and other subjects to study for, I don't know what is.

[Can't Take It]

I think the promos so far have been pretty screwed.

GP was okay, but I think my composition lacked substantiation. And I just bet you there'll be something wrong with my summary again and I won't know why.

Chemistry was alright as well, but it would have been nice if we had more time. Why is it that we never seem to have enough time nowadays?

I think I screwed up my H2 Literature essay. Due to the nature of the question, my answer sounded so much more like a narrative than I'd like it to be. I should have just done question 2! Ah well. Here comes the regret. ♥

The Mathematics paper was probably as lousily done as possible. On a more comforting note, practically everyone found this tough. Still, that means an A out of the window for sure, which is sad because I really was hoping for one. Never listen to your seniors/your teachers when they tell you that the Promotional Math papers are supposed easier than the Common Test ones. They lie. ):

H1 Literature (22 hours 30 minutes) and Physics left. I haven't finished studying for either. I wonder why I torture myself by taking Science. While some others don't have to go to school till Friday next week after their examinations, I'm stuck having to go through not ONE but TWO practical exams. The name "SPA" must be some sort of inside joke at the Ministry of Education.

[Best of Me]

This is a lovely song. Sent from Jolene. Been listening to it on repeat for the past 30 minutes. Do you have the Underclass Hero album?

Once upon a time, this would have been my song. Just not anymore.

Best of Me - Sum 41

It's so hard to say that I'm sorry
I'll make everything alright

All these things that I've done
Now what have I become, and where'd I go wrong?
I don't mean to hurt just to put you first
I won't tell you lies
(I'm sorry)
I will stand accused
With my hand on my heart
I'm just trying to say

I'm sorry
It's all that I can say
You mean so much
And I'd fix all that I've done
If I could start again
I'd throw it all away
To the shadows of regrets
And you would have the best of me

I know that I can't take back all of the mistakes
But I will try
Although it's not easy
I know you believe me
Cause I would not lie
Don't believe their lies
Told from jealous eyes
They don't understand
(I'm sorry)
I won't break your heart
I won't bring you down
But I will have to say

I'm sorry
It's all that I can say
You mean so much
And I'd fix all that I've done
If I could start again
I'd throw it all away
To the shadows of regrets
And you would have the best of me

Studied at home today. I've finally finished Chemistry. Almost done with Math. All I'm left with is the Promotional Paper for 2006. 4 topics for Physics left. Murder in the Cathedral, Wilfred Owen and perhaps a reorganisation of Great Expectation's characters/themes in my head. Oh, and not forgetting the memorising of literary terms. I've been neglecting Literature. sigh

Randall gained Privileged Season 1 - Episodes 1 and 2 today. It's been 90210 Season 1 - Episodes 1-4 for the past few days. Suggestion from Jolene. Thanks again. (:

[Unexpected Places]

It just crossed my mind, how (while studying with Shanti yesterday) I saw my junior whom I hadn't seen from two years. It's pretty amazing, considering the fact that we were in Lot 1 at Long John's. I think maybe I should go there more often. (:

Studied with Avril at school today. Spending time with her is... always very interesting. For some reason, it always makes me feel hopeful about life. So anyway, I finished the Math revision package sans NJC Promo Papers 2006/2007. I will get down to doing those soon.

Three more days left to the Chemistry/H2 Literature papers. I can do this! (So can you!)

Lord, please rid me of this evil.

You have stolen my heart.

You don't want it anyway. So I'll have it back, if you don't mind. Please return it. Thank you very much. (:

[Rooftops]

Had a nice day studying with Shanti at Lot 1. :D

Thanks for the laughs!

On a different note, I was looking at Postsecret just now and found these two interesting.

This one I can sympathise with.

Hmm... try (hard) to understand that when I say the above, I say it almost emotionlessly, if that's even possible. That when I refer to it, it's purely out of interest's sake, and that I really am not moping over the fact that I'm less aesthetically pleasing than most of my peers. (: That would be like complaining about my hair being shorter than Sam's, Wendy's or Avril's. It simply IS shorter.

W.R.T. this one, I don't think I'm crazy, do you?

[The Reason]

If there's no other reason to hang out with Chuyun, do it because you get free drinks at Delifrance. :D

Do it also because of the company, the Milka sweets, the Chemistry, the multi-coloured pens and that overall sense of satisfaction.

Will you be going there again anytime soon? (:

[Q&A]

If you come here in search of answers, I don't think you'll find (m)any.

You're right though, I have something against you.

Just me, and the rest of the world.

[Note to Self]

Do not stay up till 4 am reading up on reputed Christian cults.

Now, who wants to watch a cartoon explaining the beliefs of Mormonism? Or a few videos talking about the beliefs, doctrines and doings of the Jehovah's Witnesses? Links open up in a new page.

I don't know how true these are, but they certainly are interesting to say the least.

[Don't Panic]

There are 12 days left to the GP paper and 17 days left to everything else. I will not worry about GP, because there is little to worry about. I will just read my backlog of Time magazines. I will.

So far, I have finished 8 out of 17 topics for Physics. I have also finished reading Great Expectations for the third time as well as all my tutorials. Other than that though, I have done nothing else. Unless you count the revision for Chemistry from that arduous 4 hour make-up lesson we had on Thursday. I have 17 days left.

On a different note, as Shanti would know, I am highly annoyed with the fan beside me. If switch it on (at strength ONE), it's too cold and my feet freeze. If I switch it off/don't switch it on, it's too warm and slowly but surely, I start to perspire.

I only talk about work because I have nothing else to talk about. My life is a mundane ball of yarn, which perhaps a lone cat would take to. Unfortunately, much as I like felines, I don't belong to their race, and so I don't take to balls of yarn. If you wonder why I'm boring you with this, it is because I've just finished Work, Energy and Power for Physics and am reluctant to move on to Circular Motion immediately.

Why I'm going to click on "Publish Post" when this entry is so... useless and unexpressive, I don't know... but I'm going to click it anyway. So here goes!

[One Night]

Well, truthfully, 4 hours in a morning. That's how long it took me to do this layout. I spent quite some time thinking about which icons/avatars I should put into this, and I simply ended up putting those of the same color group. The fact that this is One Tree Hill based has nothing to do with the fact that the premier of the 6th Season of One Tree Hill was yesterday. It was done on an impulse. The sites that I visited just happened to have quite a number of such avatars/icons. :D

This works on Opera 9.52 (what I use endorse XD), Mozilla Firefox 2.0 and Internet Explorer 7.0. If you use Safari, AOL, Maxthon or anything else and it happens not to work, I'm sorry. ):

So anyway, I didn't realise how rusty I'd gotten until I'd actually started. I'd actually forgotten how to create a border! Still, it turned out pretty well, I think. (: And because this is so simple, I overcame my need for Adobe Photoshop. Did I tell you that my Mom's laptop has Adobe Photoshop CS 3?! She's had that thing for a few MONTHS now and she didn't realise, so naturally, I didn't realise either. What a waste! Shall put it to good use after the Promotional Examinations.

Hmm... I hope you (and I) enjoy this layout while it lasts! If you want your link taken down or put up, inform me. I've taken down the tagboard and replaced it with Haloscan for comments instead. It's right there, at the bottom right hand corner of this entry. Right after the time stamp. (: Click on it.

By the way, according to my dreams, I'm afraid of being found naked in a toilet in NUS which somehow turned itself into a public place. Not good I tell you, not good.
