[Alone]

2 random thoughts:
  1. I think anorexia is the new "in" thing. I bet everyone who reads this blog knows at least one person who's been anorexic/is anorexic personally.
  2. I think a large number of people who are related to these anorexic individuals like to pretend that the latter are not anorexic, so that they don't have to do anything about it. Even when they see all the signs, like the gaunt, sallow faces, and the yellow skin hugging flesh soon to turn into bones. The situation is not ambiguous - you see it, everyone sees it.
I want criss-cross fries! NOW!

[Tentai Kansoku]

I really like this song.

Translated, it means star-gazing.

I missed my 11:11 again.

[Ocean Avenue]

Since there is once again, nothing very much interesting to say... Let me try to interest you with the mundane ennui of my life. (:
  1. I managed to finish some of my homework today.
  2. I don't think I'm finishing my work fast enough.
  3. I'm really glad Chinese New Year is just around the corner. :D
  4. I'm listening to Ocean Avenue now.
  5. My hair's started to behave better since the weather changed.
  6. If it weren't for the fact that this change is attributed to Global Warming, I would actually prefer Singapore's weather this way.
  7. Due to a(n arguably bad) combination of Squash and PE, I'm exercising from Monday to Thursday every week.
  8. And exercising twice on Thursdays.
  9. I love 1 hour PE lessons because they never last that long.
  10. I wish Marlow would stop talking in Heart of Darkness and let someone else tell the story.
  11. I'm thinking about doing Edgar Allan Poe and his superb usage of literary techniques to create macabre darkness and fear for H3 Literature.
  12. Although I might rethink that because I like being able to sleep.
That's it then. (: 12 things, because I didn't want to go into 13, and have to go on to 14 and then 15 (because I'm a superstitious little bugger at 2 am). Shall do a little more of Probability, then go to sleep now!

[Breathe Easy]

It's been one whole week since school started and I'm not dead yet, so I suppose that's a good sign. (:

Simply because I have nothing else to say, here's the list of homework I have to/would like to complete/start during the weekend.
  1. Physics Challenging Drill Questions
  2. Physics Gravitational Field Tutorial
  3. Chemistry blog questions
  4. Chemistry KM holiday homework
  5. Math Probability Tutorial
  6. Literature - Read Heart of Darkness
  7. Literature H3 Proposal
Not necessarily started/completed in that order. That's just how my combination goes - PCML. On a really mundane note, I bought 2 more Pilot - G2 pens today (in light brown and maroon). I just like having a nice range of colours to play with.

[Hero]

First day of school today. :|

Hmm... I have a fairly ambivalent response towards it. My timetable's reasonable, my classes today weren't too bad (because we were let off 30 min early for 2 of them) even though Monday is probably the worst day of the lot, my teachers are alright, my classmates aren't the worse you can get... So I guess I don't have it too bad. Better go count my lucky stars.

1... 2... 3... 4... 5...

Anyway, the motivation to work hard is here! I want to keep up with my studies this year, so it's back to Physics I go. See you soon then!

Thanks for making my day! :D

[Closer]

School's starting in approximately 13 and a half hours.

It's almost silly, but I'm actually excited to get back, to be able to experience the freshness of a new year. That's where the excitement ends though. I think I really wouldn't mind going back home after half a day of school, without doing anything at all.

I really don't like the pressure that school brings. It really doesn't help that I actually have to get a scholarship in the following year, or I'll have to stay in Singapore and (most likely) study in NUS. Nothing against the university of course, it's just that I'd really like to experience something more than the drab of the education system over here. No, my parents cannot afford an education in the United Kingdom (which is really the only place I want to go anyway). I still have two younger siblings who are hardly out of Primary School, for one.

Ah, I suppose it's time to get back to doing my second set of Physics homework. Grah. In order to right my body clock, I'm actually planning to run for 1 hour later on to physically tire myself out.

[Work]

The heading "Short Questions" in the GCE "A" Level Physics Examination Papers book leaves something to be desired.

"Long Questions 1 or 2 parts shy of what we title 'Long Questions'" would be much more appropriate. That's a little long though, isn't it? Wouldn't want to kill any more trees than those we (as students) are all going to kill doing practice questions now, would we?

Gotta leave some trees standing.

[Diamond Crevasse]

This may sound really out of place on a semi-public blog, but I'm pretty sure my period is coming.

I can't find another reason as to why I'm close to tears every single time I read the imperfect translations of sorrowful and/or meaningful Japanese songs. I have to admit that understanding the songs (despite some of the possibly abstract meanings having been lost in translation) does make me like them more.

You know... I think it would look really weird if any of my family members chance upon my hormonal state, with the only seeming cause to be a song in a language that I'm not supposed to understand.

Hmm.

[The Call]

Studied with Cherie today at her house. (: Did Physics while she studied Chemistry.

As promised: Go Angle! :D

On a totally different note, I didn't expect myself to be able to empathise with her of all people. Life changes people I guess.

[Hear You Me]

I like Friends (the show).

It's like morphine. :D

[Should've Said No]

It would've been easy, just like puzzle pieces.

Lord help me, please.
